On th ebach you will find two taverns and a bar with excelelnt pizzas. Margaritas on the main road is our favorite. Personal service -sometimes slow when crowded- with a wide variety of local foods with fresh ingredients, at decent prices. On the beach, Christophoros Tavern, offers sea food and other traditional tavern food. Often a gamble on freshness and a bit overpriced, defintiley has the "edge" on the beachfront.
Porto Kea restaurant on the beach offers a variety of local and international dishes, though a bit overpriced. Fish not always as "fresh" as advertised.. Easy solution after your day and swim there.
Chora - Main Town
There are a multitude of fish and meat tavernas, as well as pizza shops and sweet shops in the main town. Our personal favorite is To Steki, a little further past the main square, and next to yet another church – Ms Eleftheria serving amazing home-made, Greek traditional meals. Worth mentioning Piatsa, right next to the arch on the left as you enter the Chora after the main square: excellent local traditional cuisine dishes year round, amiable owners, decent prices, small place, hard to find a table. Also Rolando's original place on the main square (see Port for main restaurant though now) Worth mentiong here To Spiti stin Chora, ovelooking the Chora and offering a breathtaking view of the Aegean and Sunset. Worth going for coffee or drink. Supposedly it is the most bespoke restaurant on the island of Greek Cuisine -with a twist- but it is extremely ovepriced, portions are tiny and service is terrible. Panorama THE place for a coffee and sweet with amazing views.
Two restaurants in Otzias, both excellent. One on the beach and one further up towards Kastriani, Anna's, our favorite, which is open year-round.
Philippos Tavern. A master of the grill, try the piglette on the spit, sumptuous! The view is spectacular.
Serving the yacht community, a large variety of taverns, coffee shops and bars. My favorite is at the end of Vourkari and a slight walk down – Ennia Kores.
The Port Area has a wide variety of restaurants – pizza, souvlaki and traditional. I recommend going there only in the evenings when the port is closed to cars and traffic.
